In a policy inspired by the Head Of The Charles (trademark) splitting of the Youth and Collegiate events due to NCAA rules, head race organizers are being encouraged to split further every event in their regattas into new classes: Slow and Fast.
"It was a Eureka moment for us, I have to tell you," said Two Rivers and A Small Brook regatta chairman Tom Doggett. "Really fast crews often say that really slow crews should not even be on the race course at the same time as really fast crews. And admit it - really slow crews simply do not want to race really fast crews. Problem solved."
(Editors' note: After the winter of training we just had, we're looking forward to dropping down a class - middle of the pack here we come again!)
